REDUCE SMOG

as we celebrate the coming new year, please reduce using firecrackers to celebrate. it increase air pollution. by lighting up fireworks you indirectly killing yourself. just think, burning fireworks uses up oxygen which we badly need. and it add up smog which is bad for our health. so lets celebrate in other ways.

One way for us to help our environment is by vermi composting. you just need to have a trash can and put some holes in it. Add some kitchen waste and some earthworms and just leave it. it will just work on its own. By having my own vermi compost within my compound, I have reduced the load of transporting the garbage from my home to the landfill, thereby reducing fuel consumption for the haulers and carbon emissions.
If we can all reduce the waste, fuel consumption will be lesser, fuel prices will be lower because of lesser demand.
Just think if almost all the households will be doing something like this, the effect to the environment and reduction of garbage problem will be very big.

Let us all do our own share to help reduce global waste. Government alone cannot solve this huge problem, you can see all the landfills full of garbage. Here are some ways which you could do to help reduce waste.

1. Do not use plastic straw when drinking softdrinks or juices, by refusing to use straw in McDonald's or any restaurant. It will be a win win situation for all of us, refusing to use will reduce the waste of the restaurant, reducing the load of the garbage collector thereby reducing also his fuel consumption. From the manufacture of straw to the garbage collection a huge amount of energy can be saved if almost all the fastfood goers will just drink without straw. some will say that it can be recycled, but think you again use energy for the recycling process not to count the collection of garbage and the delivery of new product to store. and also not all straw that you use will be recycled, just look at those landfills. if only we have a very efficient system that all the garbage is recycled then we won't have any problem. So move now before it's too late, so that the next generation won't inherit our garbage.
